Free action to declare who is protected. Always protects oneself unless surprised. Add counterspelling dice to defense for protected characters. Magic + intuition (3) to sense spells that are not obvious.
Drain is only caused on glitches.
Dispelling
Complex action. Must perceive the spell. Opposed counterspelling + magic against spell force + magic (+ Karma spent on quickening). Each hit reduces the hits to cast the spell. Causes drain at the level of the original spell.
